It's been a minute since I did one of these so I figured I was due. Plus I couldn't not share my most recent order from REVOLVE this week. I came across some pieces that aren't just a "one season and done" type thing. Most of these will be go-to's in my wardrobe for a very long time to come. I've been seeing so many great sales posted lately by so many other bloggers and with the Nordstrom Anniversary sale coming up I know that people are excited abut discounts and getting deals. If that's what you are looking for don't read any further haha! As a busy mom of four I really don't have the time and energy to spend digging for deals and sales. If I happen to come across one- AWESOME!! I love it just as much as the next person but REVOLVE is my constant go to because it's usually a one-stop-shop for me and I feel like its an already curated selection that speaks to my style. My whole philosophy on clothing is quality over quantity. I will typically spend a little more on a single item that I know is going to last and I usually wear the crap out of it! I try to buy pieces that I know I will enjoy for a long time and with that in mind I can more easily justify a bit of a higher price point. I buy fewer items, my closet stays less cluttered and I get a lot of use out of what I do have. The following are definitely staple wardrobe pieces that I can't wait to wear over and over and over again.
My feed is about to get a lot more yellow in it. When I saw this mustard BOTICELLI MANTRA KIMONO by Jen's Pirate Booty I had to click "add to cart." This is totally multi-seasonal. Especially for Cali and Texas. I love that I can dress this up or down but I went with a much more casual vibe here. I wouldn't be afraid to pair this with a short dress or a romper and heels. The fabric is a little heavy and stiff but I think with some wear it will break in. Also, it was kind of made for my next favorite find from REVOLVE this week which is this ZOE FEDORA by Rag & Bone. I've been a big fan of this brand for a long time. I've worn their jeans but my favorite thing from them are their felt hats. I love the extra detail in the front of this one with the fold and I'm glad they kept the rest clean and simple. This will literally go with ANYTHING!
When I saw this AVA JUMPSUIT by FLYNN SKYE it spoke to me. This is like my spirit animal in onesie form. I sized up from a small to a medium for a more relaxed fit and to get a little more length in the legs for the purpose of wearing heels with it. The fabric has a bit of give which is great for the hip area and its lightweight and breathable which means I'll be wearing this all summer long and into the fall I can't wear to pair it with a leather jacket.
I paired my next two find together into one outfit since jeans and a white tea go together like peanut butter and jelly, ketchup and mustard, chocolate and marshmallow.... ok I'll stop. But I've got some serious love for these 90s FIT JEANS from AGOLDE. Definitely size down in these bad boys! I typically wear a 27 and these I went with a 26. They didn't fit exactly how I expected them to and they ended up being more of like a high waisted boyfriend jean on me. They are definitely more lengthy too than the stock photo shows online so I rolled the cuff. For a more refined look I'd love to pair these with spikey heel and blazer. These are uber comfy and I love the wash. The top is Current and Elliot's KNIT CAMAS TOP. If you are going to consider this one just know this has to be worn sans brassiere. I tried it with a lace pull over bra and it just didn't work. This top is meant to show a bare back which I love cause it makes a plain white tee interesting and fun. Plus it can be worn with anything- jeans, skirt, shorts etc. The quality of the fabric is amazing but it isn't exactly buttery soft which is something to consider if going braless- aka invest in some bandaids for this one.
Last but not least is these red BANDIT SHORTS by One Teaspoon. These fit pretty true to size but if you want to wear them lower on the hips size up. I have a black pair of bandits from One Teaspoon that I've almost wore into the ground (see yellow kimono pics) so I knew I'd love these too. The fabric on these is softer and less rigid which was a nice surprise. They have yet to bleed onto anything else in the wash which was my biggest concern. I'm not typically a "red" person but I'll make the exception for these!
Happy Shopping friends!!
